How would you describe the findings on these radiographs?
A1: A radiolucent lesion, measuring
approximately 15mm by 5mm, is seen in the metaphysis of the distal tibia. The
surrounding bone is sclerotic. Additionally, immediately superior to the lesion
is an area of solid periosteal reaction (Quick—should a solid periosteal
response make you think of something aggressive or benign?).
